This is the children's audio version. It is only 4 hours and is a shortened version of the adult audio version which is about double the listening time. Was excellent and good for adults if you don't want a long audio book. Great story and gives highlights of Tim Tebow's life growing up in his family and experiences that shaped him, his life and experiences in the athletic world and attitudes towards accomplishing things in life. Excellent and motivational!!!!!!!
We accidentally ordered the Young Reader's Edition like many others, but that just means we bought two copies of the book! LOL My husband is reading the regular version, and I read this one. This one was definitely written with younger readers in mind, but by no means did it take away from the storyline and impactful life of this young man. If you ordered this one by mistake, take that as God's cue to give it to a young reader in your life!
Im a foorball fan, so I wanted to get to know Tebow from all the publicity I had heard about his being a christian, as well as a determined quarterback. I was very much impressed at the adversity this young man has gone through in being made fun of because he loves God and shows it, and also because his hearts desire is to be a quarterback. He comes from a wonderful family. A family he is proud of, as he should be. I greatly admire him as well as his family after reading this book. It also has alot of football info on games he has played in it as well.
I got the original edition of Through My Eyes the day it came out and I read it cover to cover in one sitting. It was a great story and a great read. When I saw that a young readers edition would be out in time for Christmas I ordered a copy for my nephew ~ who loves to read and is a huge Tebow fan. I expected this version to be more simplified than it was. In fact I didn't see much of a difference at all. I recommend getting the original.
My third grader and I read some together every night before bed. We really enjoyed it! It helps to be a football fan. I would sometimes have a hard time picturing the football plays Tim describes in the later chapters, but my son, who plays and watches football year-round thoroughly got it and loved it! I, as a mom, loved the life and character lessons that Tim shares along the way.
"A young man of conviction", arrives on center stage, and has America totally baffled. He can't possibly be serious in his love for God, but HE IS.....he lets people know that God has blessed him with an ability, and he performs as best as he is able, to the glory of God. What you see in Tebow, is what he really is, a man of God who just happens to play football...very well in fact.
Great story for elementary and middle schools kids
Purchased 2 of these as gifts for boys (ages 8-9). They loved it! This is a "kid" version of his autobiography (still has over 200 pages and is a hardcover). The jacket of the hardcover unfolds and makes a small poster on the reverse side. My son has been reading it this summer. Encouraging to have football hero for kids who lives with integrity. Great gift idea for the boys in your life!
