I started back in January with My Christmas Wish being the first of Gina's books to read, being new to the whole Kindle thing, I found it in the free reads and fell in love with her writing style. I was captivated by the chemistry between Daisy and Finn in the kitchen with their steamy kiss and was excited to find that they would have a full-length story of their own in the works. One Last Chance brought on the steamy chemistry that Daisy and Finn started with at Christmas and made it more intense by going through the real-life struggles of being with someone who is fight or flight with commitment issues. Finn's background made me love and hate him (In the good, understanding way) when it came to his feelings for Daisy and his inner demons of being terribly burned.Being that I never read the Kane Brother's Series, this book, stand-alone or in order with the set - either way you read them, doesn't matter - dives into the adventures of moving to Scotland, starting new adventures, love, sex, intensity, new baby's and marriage. Made me want to know more about each of the characters that I was falling in love with - Thr Kane boys, their wonderful ladies, and all the love they share as a family.I felt that Finn explaining his backstory to Daisy, in the end, was a little rushed. I loved that he had a moment with his ex and they were able to establish closure but felt that his coming to terms with it and being open with Daisy was a little forced.Despite that, I was captivated from beginning to end and even mourned a little that it was over, but the starting the Kane Brothers series patched up the wound. I am very much looking forward to Adam's story and what awaits him and Livvy. Great job, Gina!

Gina Azzi does it again! Not only do we get to see how Daisy and Finn’s Love story plays out, but we get to see how the rest of the Kane family is doing. Not only did Gina give you a story about Love in the work place and second chances. You also get to know a little about the next story coming up! Aaron! After what he goes through in this story. I’m rooting for him to have better luck at Love the next time around!

Oh my me! I was so waiting, not so patiently for Daisy's story! And it was soooo worth the wait!
One Last Chance is Daisy Kane and Finlay Anderson's story.  We have seen both characters interwoven in the other Kane Brothers novels.
First off, I have never been to Scotland, but it's on my bucket list. Gina's descriptive words are magic and bring you right in the heart of Stockbridge and Edinburgh. I could picture myself right there with Daisy as she explored her new home.
And now the best part, Daisy! I absolutely loved her bravery and fresh start mantra! To move across the pond, away from her family and friends to start a whole new life for herself.  Sure she had her best friend's family there with her to have a support system, but she was standing on her own two feet.
Finn is a smooth talker (I can just imagine that Scottish brogue....swoon). He has had a disastrous try at a relationship and it has scarred him.  He is stubborn and fights his feelings for Daisy.
But wowza, the chemistry between Finn and Daisy is hotter than Hades! You can feel the heat coming off the pages and I like the fact that they were friends and colleagues first. When they finally decided to take the "one day at a time" approach to relationship you could tell both Daisy and Finn were trying to figure out what was really going on with them.  The dual POV's were essential to this.  I loved to see how both Daisy and Finn's minds were trying to wrap around what was going on.
Every book that Gina writes is even better than the last and One Last Chance is just proof of the epic writing talent that is Gina Azzi! I cannot wait for Aaron's book next!

I've loved every book Gina Azzi has ever put out, so I went into this book, the first in a new series (or rather, the first of the spinoff from the Kane Brothers series), with great enthusiasm. Ms. Azzi is so good at writing characters that feel like real people, with the same flaws, hangups, and phobias that we all do.Case in point - Finn is a successful exec in his family's advertising agency. He's got looks, money, and seems content limiting his relationships with women to casual sex. To quote him, he doesn't "do relationships". Enter Daisy Kane, a girl seven years younger than he, with whom he has history. When she moves from Georgia, USA to take a job as a first-year in his family's company, all the doubts he's ever had about his life choices resurface, and he can only wonder if she could be the one to risk it all for.I have to be honest - I didn't like Finn for much of the book. I didn't like the way he acted overprotective toward Daisy despite having no claim on her, and nor did I care for some of the choices he made regarding their own relationship. Of course, in Azzi style, when we go a little deeper and discover WHY a person is the way they are, it strikes a chord. Needless to say, by the end I felt a lot more strongly about the character.I eagerly await Book 2, when we switch our attention to Finn's brother Aaron (already a sympathetic character enduring his own personal trials). Well done, Ms. Azzi!
