Excellent book to get a good understanding about how the different forms of corruption can undermine a Government. It is a shame that the private sector's role in the way governments are corrupted or operate is not discussed at length. the lager international contractors, the mining and oil sector practices concerning tax avoidance, environmental regulation, labor laws, or the weapons markes, their arms sales, etc are not discussed, but a good book for the subject any way.
Perfect book!
This book is just the best study about corruption ever made in Law and Economic literature. When I bought the second edition I thought that I have made a great mistake. But, fortunately, I were wrong. This second edition presents a complete new abroach about corruption. I really recommend reading this book in order to understand the complexity of corruption.
